SETTING: BEACH, YO killian sat on the boardwalk of the beach, strumming out a few chords on his guitar. he was a bit rusty from the lack of playing over the last few months but shit, it felt fucking good to be getting back in the swing of things. a few more practices under their belts and the band would be back in business. for now, though, the cool winter breeze and his toes in the sand was enough to entertain the guy.

Killian wasn't surprised by his daughter's presence, having sensed it the moment she was there. Yet it was a pleasant feeling, unlike the unease her mother used to put on him. A soft smile graced his lips as he felt her touch against his shoulder, finishing out his chord before glancing up at her. "how goes it, kid?"

Calliope blinked slowly, looking down at her feet and chuckling softly at him. "Nothing. I had my first day of classes today.." she looked back toward his guitar and was feeling lost in the music. "How was your day?"
