She had been staring at her crystal ball for some time, why she had been staring at that glass orb you may ask? Suppose you can say she was watching over her nieces and nephews, the ones that were conceived by Tate. Because it was she who couldn't have children and it hurt the wiccan more then anything to see children as precious as her nieces and nephews be abandoned in such a manner by either her brother or other siblings, let alone by their own mothers. It was a secret that even her siblings didn't know, something she kept to herself more so for personal reasons then she did to be spiteful. For Evie was never spiteful or angry with her family, that was not Eve. She was more so down to earth then anything but if you ever pissed her off... well that would be a force you would rather not have anything to do with. But now was not the time to think of such silly things. As if something like that could ever happen.
Sighing softly, Genevieve waved her hand over the crystal ball, causing the images to disperse as she pushed herself away from her area of reading. You see, often Eve read the tarot cards in order to see the outcome of her family. But she couldn't put her finger onto why there was a trickster in past card, which made Eve undergo a bit of overthinking. But that's not all that wondered upon the woman's mind. As she grabbed her book of shadows and made her way toward the library she felt a familiar presence. The type a presence that a mother would feel when a child of theirs had come home, but due to the fact that Evie had no children. She followed her gut feelings to an empty room with a bed unmade. Looking over her shoulder, she sighed softly before she gently set her book upon the dresser. Moving toward the bed where the sheets were wrinkled to the side, she bent over to make it. "What's the matter with you ol' girl, usually you're more put together then this." She murmured to herself before catching sight of a used hoody. Causing Evie's brow to furrow as she bent over, picking it up. Feeling it between her hands, before her eyes faded white to see whom it belonged to. After a while, a soft smile played along her lips as she came back to her senses and folded the hoody.
It had been a long time since she had seen her young nephew, but Evie was always the one to welcome the boy with loving arms whereas the others always pressured the poor kid to dive into his powers. Evie just treated him like the teenager he was and made sure he was well cared for, fed, clothed, and loved. So you could say that when his mother ceased to be in his life and he was forced to come back to the manor, Evie took it upon herself to watch after the boy. To even grow attached to him as if he were her own child. In fact there were times to where he was, after all he'd go to her more often then the others. Which was understandable seeing that Esme agreed to everything and anything Tate wished to do. Celeste and Kortana often did their own thing which left Evie to watch over the children that were dropped at the manor. Well the ones that had not tasted the dark side and enjoyed it.
Evie wasn't a fan of dark magic, nor was she for it. Being the affinity of all things natural and nature-esque, she was pro balance and con imbalance or in this case not part of nature. Which she often instructed her nephew at times on what was good to do without karma slamming back into you negatively verses what not to do that causes karma to give you what you just deserved. Her nephew had always been a good troubled little boy, having always seen spirits that he didn't understand she would ward them away tell him that they would only hurt you if you let them. But seeing it had been so long since she had seen him last, she wondered how he faired now compared to that time so long ago. She could hardly wait to catch up with the boy, thoughts of him as soon as she knew it was him within the building her heart raced.
Resting his folded hoody upon the mattress she turned toward the front door and sat, snapping her fingers as her book of shadows then appeared upon her lap. Flipping through the pages she waited. Hoping that she'd catch her nephew/son's face and get to hug him.
