WITH NO PLACE TO GO, NO PLACE TO GO TO DRY HER EYES
BROKEN INSIDE

Finding a place to stay was becoming harder and harder for Danica. Renting a motel room wasn't something that was an option for her. Yes she had some money, but that money she was keeping for food and water. She never would have pictured herself being in such a situation months ago. Previously she was living happily at home with her parents and brother. Despite finding out she was adopted, Danica thought no less of her family. They were her family, blood or not. They loved her and she loved them, so finding out the truth wouldn't distance their relationship. What actually put a physical distance between them was her ex. Danica only had one relationship, it was going well until he turned on her. This was why she was now on the run, to get away from him. Staying at home wasn't an option, he would just come and get her. Her parents wouldn't be able to keep her safe, not from him. She couldn't go to the police, what would she tell them? After all she hadn't committed a crime and she had no proof of anything. So though she didn't want to leave her family, she had to.
Both for her and their safety. But she was doubtful that he would have just stopped when he realised she was gone. Though she was coming to the conclusion that she didn't know him as well as she thought, she was almost certain he was looking for her. Danica was confused about everything that was going on. Her ex had told her that she had the ability to manipulate powers. Danica had found out from her parents she was Wiccan, her biological mother having been one. Unfortunately for Danica she had no idea how to use her powers or what even really came with them. This not knowing wouldn't be enough to stop her ex's persistent ways. Walking down the sidewalk all these things ran through her head. She had with her two bags, these bags containing what was left of her former life. Clothes, other items she thought were important, stuffed into these two bags. The night sky was dark and cloudy, the moon and stars hidden. Danica exhaled, her breath shaking lightly due to the coldness. Tonight, she had no idea where she was going to stay, it was already very late and the streets were almost empty.
Danica moved to a building and dropped her bags down. She leaned against the building to try and take a break for a moment, having been walking for awhile. She rubbed her hands against the side of her arms to try warm them up. Even with her hoodie on the cold was still getting to her. Just as she closed her eyes tiredly she heard a boom of thunder. Opening her eyes she felt raining beginning to drop. It became heavily pretty quickly, grabbing her bags she hastily began walking again. Her eyes landed on a sign that read 'Hotel California'. She jogged over to it and pushed the door open walking inside. Now cold and wet and was shivering as she made her way to the check in desk. Though she knew she wouldn't have money for a room. She was just going to have to hope someone could show her some kindness. Gently she placed her bags down by her feet as she rang the bell at the empty desk. "Hello?" she called out her voice light and shaking slightly.- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
