barlights are blinking
to Mexican music, it's taunting the pavement and I feel alive. One of us sings, and one of us drinks, and one of us has nothing at all so he calls us all sheep-
I'm the Little Bo Peep of the bunch

The whole bar scene was not a frequent adventure for Frankie. He so very rarely went places other than home, his job, or disneyland... or pretty much everywhere childlike and fun, that bars had lost some interest to him. They were for grownups, mostly sad grownups who didn't really have it too easy. Now, when comparing that kind of atmosphere to say, disneyland, there was pretty much no comparison. Buuut, occasionally it would be Mexican night with free margaritas that his boss was paying for so he decided to slum it and go out with his work buddies. What could he say- margaritas were a particular weakness of his.
He spent a lot of time with his work buddies, actually. When one worked at Universal Studious, it seemed only naturally to nerd out over everything with the other employees, and so that made them all pretty great friends pretty quickly. Not that that Frankie wouldn't have made friends at pretty much any job he decided to take up. Part of the awesomeness that was him was his ability to make a good friendship with someone, even if they'd only known him for less than five minutes. Part of it had to do with the ginormous smile that was nearly always resting on his face, the other part was his supernatural ability to force positive energy onto those around him. This made people simply gravitate towards him, their spirits lifting simply by being in the premises.
Before venturing out with the guys, Frankie made sure to call his wife and make sure everything was good on her end. His already obtuse smile stretched even further when he could hear the crazy family he could call his own roaring in the background, clearly playing some kind of videogame, as he could hear the noises of it and the competitive shouting as Coraline spoke through the phone. Miles was the loudest, followed by the two little rugrats. He could even Hear Vinny in there, rousting Miles and clearly putting on a show for everyone. He knew also that although he couldn't hear her, Yvette would be hovering somewhere in the background, arms folded around herself and smiling softly at the whole affair. Frankie was determined to bring Yvette back out of her shell, back to how she had been before she'd returned to her abusive husband, but he knew it was a work in progress.
The clearest sound on the phone, though, was his adoring wife. There was no one on the planet who held his heart quite like she did. Coraline knew how to project into the phone to overpower the other noise without blowing the mike, or even shouting. She was a clever one, and she teased him a bit before giving her blessing for him to head out. On the one hand Frankie was slightly disappointed he wasn't going to see the harmonious family unit scramble around that night, but he was also thrilled to hear that all of them had happy faces on, and he wasn't even in the room to make it happen. Frankie chatted with his wife for a few more minutes about various things, most importantly telling each other they loved one another just as they always did, and then she hung up the phone laughing when Frankie started making obnoxious kissing noises into the speaker.
He was of course, dressed in an over sized ninja turtles shirt, a pair of jeans and then the boys ripped off some blue fabric from some unknown location to give him wrist bands. After a few margaritas, Frankie was acting like the kung fu master all up in the joint, being a general riot to those around him just as he usually was. He sang in perfect unison with the Spanish music that came on the loud speakers, even taking one of his coworkers up and salsa dancing with him. Due to familiarity, the owner of the bar had actually joined them in their drinks, and they all sang merrily to 'la cucaracha' in order to keep the white boys in the loop.
"Ay, dios mio!" Frankie shouted after he laughed so hard, the burning margarita came shooting out of his knows. He laughed it off, of course, turning purple as he laughed even harder. After a moment to collect himself, he took some napkins to wipe off the table he was sitting off, and the group volunteered him to go get more drink. He went to the bar and collected several beers, but when the pint of margarita mix was presented, he frowned, not entirely sure what to do and not really wanting to make a second trip. So instead, he decided to recruit some help. Looking over to a fellow patron sitting at the bar, Frankie asked, "Los siento, friend. Necesito ayuda. Could you help me with the drinks? You can come join us too, if you'd like." Frankie wiggled his eyebrows excitedly at the stranger, hoping they'd go up for the offer.
