The Ashmores brought nothing but imperfection and turmoil to the lands of California, then it became widespread of the deeds they have done making vampires from all over the globe believe they are above the laws of the Council and the Original Vampires. The Lockwoods couldn’t haven’t that and they need and wanted the situation to die down completely, which meant getting rid of the source and that is why they have contacted their closes friends and ally to do so. The Aurics held a vampire council in the city of Rome, it was very small, yet both Atticus and Artemis held a lot of power and fear to do those who lived among their house. Artemis has always been an independent woman who was scarier than her husband when it comes to the things she wants to have or protect. When the Lockwoods asked for the assistances of the Aurics to teach the Ashmore coven a lesson in defying the words of their progenitors, Artemis mostly, jumped for the opportunity to destroy the large family, but it wasn’t just because the Lockwoods asked them to do so.
Artemis has heard of the Ashmore family for the longest while she and her husband were in Rome, she has heard of their large immortal family and that alone was enough for the redheaded vampire to hate them. When Artemis was young, her stepmother made her promise to her father that she will live the life of an eternal virgin, which meant she was going to have to forsake the thought of ever having a family of her own. Although, Artemis has longed for a large family, so big that her bloodline would live for generations and she would soon be surrounded by many of her grandchildren, but that was all given up to make her father and stepmother a happy couple, even when their family was already broken. Artemis mother gave her a purity ring, which she cursed, so if she ever does break her promise of chastity it will awaken the curse and strip her of her fertility. Ultimately, Artemis fell in love with Atticus, unknowing of the cursed ring, Artemis laid with Atticus for the first time and as soon it was over the curse was activated and she felt the burning pains of Hera’s power.
Artemis was angry, she has always been angry that she could never have the chance in raising her own children, but she was lucky to have the child that she did bore, Orion, but he had betrayed her heart and she disowns him as a son. Artemis’s infertility has literally drove her to be quite insane, she panicked, she wanted to kill herself the first time, but Atticus saved her by turning her into a vampire and saying he will never allow her to leave him and he will spend the rest of their immortal lives together. Artemis accepted that he cared for her, but she couldn’t accept the fact she could never have her own, which is why she began ‘adopting’ children and later in their lives turning them into vampires, but before she turns them she treats them like they are her children and they believe her to be their mother.
Artemis has always eben obsessed with the fact of being a mother and having a large family, so when she saw that the Ashmores had what she has always wanted, but couldn’t have, she snapped. Artemis immediately jumped onto the mission in settling the chaos the Ashmores have created, Atticus alongside their mission. To Atticus, it was a mission sent by the Lockwoods, but to Artemis is was a personal vendetta. Artemis made sure she had her fun in destroying the large family, ripping the neck of the Piper Ashmore’s lover was just the beginning she had in stored for the family. The redheaded vampire has a thing for picking on the women when she steals their children, especially with Romulus and Remus, she killed their mother and took them as her own children. If it wasn't for her aunt's curse she wouldn't be stealing other people's children, though she was blessed when she gave birth to her first child, before the curse took effect, Orion Auric, her darling son. Atticus and she raised their little boy in the embrace of their Roman Vampire Council, although he didn't appreciate the love, the work, or the strictness of his father to stay true and loyal to their laws. Orion freed a prisoner subject to death, which was a direct violation that could not be ignored, and him being the son of the head council members brought shame and embarrassment to their name.
Artemis sat on her luxurious throne as she held onto a glass of blood, the glass was like diamonds as it looked so fine. Artemis loves expensive things and she loves precious jewels because they are so unique and beautiful that she just cannot seem to let them ago. Again, Artemis was quite the obsessive type as she is never willing to let anything go, which could be her downfall if she doesn't let things or people go especially without destroying them. Tonight, she was willing to listen to complaints or wants from the vampire community, whether it was about safety or if the community needed something like the permission to allow another vampire into Council territory, which is a minor thing. Although, what she wants to hear really are complaints about someone doing the wrong thing and breaking the law.Living in the Garden
