Marina , Meeting, WADE VOCLAIN lyrics @ Lana Del Rey. notes – words - 770ish
In the Land of Gods and Monsters I was an Angel
Marina sat calmly on her bed within the darkness of her room looking silently out the small window of her bedroom. Quietly, she watched the rays of the moonlight cast down onto the earth giving off its celestial shine, sending shadows across the yards of their neighbors. The tortured vampire just stared blankly at the moon as it reminded her so much of herself, it was bright, mystifying, and elegantly beautiful. The moon was beautiful because it was alone, standing on its lonesome in the vast solar system, which is somewhat how Marina feels every giving day. She stands amongst people all around her, but sadly, she feels alone even when there are people to hold her and to comfort her. Marina loves her family, but what Dexter has done to her has really torn at her soul and she has done her best trying to hide that from everyone else. Elianna has probably seen the ugly side of Marina, not able to control herself even with the smell of blood.
Dexter ruined Marina, she was once in love with the man of her life, she had a life so pure and innocent, you would have never thought she went through such horrifying torture. Before Dexter, Marina had control of herself, she wouldn’t even flinch when someone cuts their self and blood seeps out, but now, she can’t even take a waft of it before almost slipping away. Dexter had turned her into a monster, a monster she never thought she was capable of becoming as she would ravage a body clean of its blood if she was allowed to. Every day she thanks Wade for allowing and her family to escape. For years, Marina and Elianna had to put up with Dexter head on for the safety of the girls, not saying he never got to them, but without Marina and Elianna taking most of the heat, Fawn, Flora, or Raven would have seen the real tortures and horrors he is capable of. All of them should really show thanks to Wade because he has sacrificed a lot to save us, whether it was convenient for him or not.
Which is why Marina is finding it pretty hard to believe that the home they are living in was out of good judgement seeing that the Bounty Hunter was on his way to turn them into Dexter. After spending her time with Dexter, the vampire has become less reliant on others and became more kept to herself, passive even, but only her current family would hear her speak or the wisdom she gives. Otherwise, Marina is just a lingering soul, hurt, confused, and crazed. Marina tries to be strong for the other girl, she doesn’t cry in front of them or show much expression other than compassion, love, and motherhood. Marina treats everyone like they are her children, Elianna more or less like a sibling because they have known each other longer in the Hell they endured. Raven for sure has been under Marina’s radar, she would hover the girl everyday if she could, but Raven has her beat during the sunlight because this pale vampire avoids the sun at all costs. Marina tries to step over beams of light that enters the house, so nothing could burn her skin again as she has pled for a while to get more blinds.
The slight smell of blood rushed through Marina’s nose that immediately caused her fangs to slide from their sockets within her gums. All it took was one with of the scent to send Marina off her bed in vampire speed and out the door standing at the stop of the stairs. The scent of blood was warm, a bit fresh as it was nothing like the refrigerated blood Elianna brings home from the hospital that’s nowhere near refreshing as taking it from the vein. Marina came down the stairs in less than a second, her eyes were open wide as the scent of human blood rolled through her nose, and whoever it was is in danger of meeting Marina. Sadly, she wishes that the mortal would have met her on better circumstances, but right now she isn’t whom she used to be.

I'm not their hero But that doesn't mean that I wasn't brave
it was often the PTSD that would startle the ex-soldier awake, but not before he suffered from a great deal of flashbacks. he'd often wake in a layer of perspiration, having tossed and turned violently in whatever shitty motel bed he found slumber within. but today, it wasn't a crappy motel bed at all, but instead, one in his own home. he hadn't ever called the place in san francisco home, despite owning the house and the property. it was merely a safe house, if you will - a place no one knew he owned. he purchased it with a large sum of cash(his remaining military salary), keeping his name off the title and the radar of the government and his ex-fiance who he was convinced was still out to get him. he'd never actually stayed in the place, choosing to save it for life or death situations. well....it appeared he was just in one of those situations.
the last thing he recalled was crawling to across the front lawn on his hands and knees, only to look up and find elianna's face greet him. he recalled consuming her blood and feeling the immense healing process begin to spread throughout him. he remembered a brief and rather intimate conversation between them and then, all was lost to his memory. now he was waking in a bed in the safe house, which led him to believe he'd passed out and been brought here by elianna. yet, he did not find her when he woke.
wade pushed his feet over the sides of the bedframe, shaking off the feeling of them being asleep. once he regained sensation, he stood, realizing he had no spare clothing here. it was stupid of him, though made sense considering he had never actually lived in the place. his bloody shirt had already been stripped of him, leaving nothing but his torn jeans. for now, they'd have to do. he assumed the rest of the girls still were in the house and therefore, had no intentions of waltzing around naked. the mortal took a moment to glance at himself in the mirror, noting the scars on his skin hd disappeared. his status as a cursed mortal allowed him to heal, but the scars never truly left him. apparently ellie's blood had done the trick this time. to top it off, he felt inherently better on the inside too...though a part of him still ached, suggesting his injuries had not entirely left him. he knew a little more from ellie would surely cure him...but he couldn't ask that of her again. she'd already saved him to a point that he was sure he could get on living.
before he knew it, wade found himself in the kitchen, attempting to pry open a can of green beans with his pocket knife. the kitchen was empty save for himself and frankly, he was surprised not to have run into any of the woman thus far. perhaps they had left once elianna brought him into the house. he wouldn't blame them; after all, he once planned to turn them over to dexter. that notion completely out of his mind, if that wasn't clear by the gesture of him offering his house as their personal hotel.
halfway into prying the lid open, it sliced right through his thumb. the healing process set in immediately, to hide the fact he'd just injured himself, but not before spilling a few drops of blood on the countertop. before he could make any move to clean up after himself, his gaze lifted to greet a familiar face. still, he wasn't sure it was one that was welcoming to him. "marina." he nodded, calling her by name. he'd never asked it, but picked up on when the other girls referred to her. "hope hotel wade is to your liking." he stated, only slightly sarcastic. he knew none of them probably thought highly of him, but the house was a good will gesture of his. whether or not she was going to try to tear his throat out, well, that was up to her. ello template by Margie @ Adoxography v2

Marina , Meeting, WADE VOCLAIN lyrics @ Lana Del Rey. notes – words - 660ish
In the Land of Gods and Monsters I was an Angel
Marina made it to the end of the stairs where she laid eyes on Wade in his kitchen with blood reside on the counter, though putting two and two together he probably cut himself, which caused him to bleed. Though it took a moment before Marina could really calm herself enough to speak with integrity and a sweetness that was angelic by nature. Marina has always been a good person, she was sweet and someone you could easily talk to without feeling a hint of judgement as she was the perfect companion. Once upon a time, her heart was once filled with love, so pure she would have given to poorest of the poor everything she had, whether it was money, food, clothing, or a nice bath in her bathing tub. Marina was kind hearted, she believed in freedom for everyone and she believed in pure happiness, but she was naïve to believe that wouldn’t come without a price because she surely paid for it. Right now, Marina doesn’t declare herself free, she feels as if she was locked in a cage and shackled by the feet because she was a prisoner to her thirst and a captive to her tormentor, Dexter Deblane.
Wade was the one who saved her and her small family from Dexter in the first place, even-though he was the one, issued by Dexter, to hunt Marina and the girls down, then bringing them back to him. Although, Wade was given a change of heart and released Marina and everyone else, so that they may live free for the first time in forever, giving them access to one of his safe houses. Marina was in debt to his kindness, but she wasn’t as enthralled by Wade as Elianna was, but at first one would believe she hated the man. Although, Marina’s passive nature has allowed her to sit back and just watch everyone around her as she is able to see and learn, so seeing Elianna’s affections for Wade didn’t take long to understand.
Marina eyed the mortal up and down, a small smile was evident in her face as she stood from where she was too scared to really come near someone human as Wade was just a huge blood bag to Marina right now. Marina spoke softly,” Hello Wade, your presence has been eerily ghost like since we moved in here,” Marina went on to say,” My stay here has been quite the getaway as I have nothing to complain about.” Living in Wade’s safe house was a lot more ‘safe’ and ‘secure’ than still being in chains for Dexter’s pleasures. Marina was so grateful for Wade’s kindness because he didn’t have to save them to the extent that he did because they could have been out somewhere, probably found if it wasn’t for the safe house. Marina find some of the girls’ distaste for Wade was reasonable, but also she could see a bit of ungratefulness because obviously known of them wish to return where they’ve once been, so thank the man for going to great lengths securing their past does not become their future.
Marina spoke truthfully as she still stood near the stairs, slightly eying the blood that was on the table, the smell of it still running faintly through her nose,” You may not feel it, but I do want you to know that we are greatly appreciative for what you have done me and my family, we truly are,” Marina continued,” I understand you have lost something too? I could imagine the sacrifices you have made to set me and my sisters free. Despite our past, I am willing to thank you for having a change of heart.”
