AND ALL SHE WANTED, WAS SOMEONE THAT CARES
Being in town for as long as she had, someone would have asked her if something was keeping her there. Maybe it was her family; maybe it wasn’t. But there was a part of her that was keeping her here, maybe an energy or perhaps a singular person. Tate Blackwood, he was someone that got under her skin, nipped and picked at the flesh until they rose into goosebumps. At one point in her life, she had fallen head over heels for him, and that had gotten her tangled in the sheets that night. Tempted by his charm, his looks and his suave way of flirtations, had made Helena vulnerable. She hadn’t felt that way in years, not since Antonio tried to turn her against her sisters, and she hated it. She wanted far away from him and because of that need for release and escape, she had abandoned her little family that she had made in San Francisco.
Leaving behind Hera and Hali, along with her brother-in-law Lysander, she had lost a part of herself. A strong magic that surrounded the three women, amplified by Lysander’s presence, was enough to keep her going in life. Leaving them and traveling around the world, making a name for herself in the modern world, it didn’t feel right. It felt wrong, felt bizarre; it felt worse than temptations of evil. She kept telling herself that she returned home, to San Francisco, because of the need to see her small family, but a part of her tells her that isn’t true.
A little while ago when she ran into Tate once again, after all, the years apart, things started to surface inside her. Of course, his flirting and seduction were met with hostility and protection; it didn’t mean that feeling of old didn’t attempt to reappear. At one point in her life, she would say that she needed to stay away from the man, wanted to be as far away as possibly. But that night, seeing him again, it made her realize that perhaps she had returned because she wanted to see what would happen. Like her heart was taking the rational thoughts out of her head. At one point she had realized that maybe she needed to get him out of her system, that perhaps something inside of her was wrong. If she had been the person writing to her column for help, she probably would have told them to communicate with the other and figure out what exactly they were feeling.
It was clear that Tate was still into her, but was she feeling the same way? Had that ship sailed the moment she moved away, running away from the possibility of happiness that she had once hoped for?
No longer wanting to dwell in the past, she left work early that day and instead of returning home to an empty house where she and her siblings still shared; she went to the familiar home of the legendary Tate Blackwood. It wasn’t hard to find, not by a long shot. His home was not a needle in a haystack; it was more the actual haystack. The cab pulled up on the street just outside of the Blackwood home, and she pushed her fee into his hand before removing herself from the place. Pushing her blonde hair back, letting the soft curls twirl down her back as she walked through the muggy air filled with the chance of rain. She had worn her black coat, one that covered her tank-top dress with legging underneath, soft shoes placed upon her feet and a beanie upon her head. Her feet padded against the walkway as she made her way up the stairs and stood before the doors.
Taking a deep breath, she knocked three times.

I thought we could do a more updated thread and leave it that our last thread between them ended with just talking.
