━ MY DEAR, MY DEAR, IT IS NOT SO DREADFUL HERE ━
Diana had been in town for almost a month now, and already she didn’t like what she was seeing. Supernatural ran around the place with no one to go after them. Sure she had run into a few hunters, one of them being an old friend from her troubling days in the past. Passing through San Francisco had been her idea of a place to live after she lost the baby and her husband. Maybe it was because it was somewhere close to home but not, or maybe it was because it seemed like an ideal place to live. But she was wrong, so wrong. She doomed her stepdaughter's life by stepping foot in the little town. And now, they would all pay. Thankful for the lessons that her father taught her and her twin brother in order to prepare them for the life of a Mafia Boss and Wife, she was able to avenge her stepdaughter's death and take out her anger. And thus, she became a hunter. A thing that supernatural creatures feared, well for the most part.
She swallowed the cotton ball feeling within her dry through, her eyes wandering over the load of cop cars that had gathered around a scene of a dead body, her eyes watching them closely. She had been driving through and had stumbled upon the scene and the cops, but sadly she couldn’t get past the tape that blocked everything off, but from what she heard all the police talking about was that the woman was currently a Jane Doe and the cause of death was drained of blood, which baffled them. When she had heard the confusion of the police about the cause of death she had almost laughed, sure they were naïve about the world of the supernatural, but Diana wasn’t. This death was definitely a vampire attack, one that had been recent, which means that the vampire was still about, warmed from the blood it had consumed. She had gone back to her car to just think, watching carefully to make sure that the police had left and it seemed like they weren’t, so with quick fingers she reached over into the glove compartment and grabbed her 9mm pistol, one that she kept tucked under some of the paperwork that she had stashed in there.
Sure it may be a vampire that she was hunting, but if she could shoot it enough she could grab her stake that she had tucked away in a secret pocket within her jacket and stake the sucker until he was dead, for real this time. Quickly she slipped from the seat of her black car, the leather seats comfort disappearing from beneath her as her feet tapped against the dark grey pavement. With quick feet, she slipped through the darkness, underneath some of the police tapes, and stealthy making her way through the throng of trees, eyes trying to adjust to the slightly darker area around her. She had the gun in her hand, ready to fire when needed. Her feet crunched against the ground, she wasn’t one to stay stealthy for long, hoping to lure the vampire out with the sounds of the twigs snapping beneath her feet. As she got deeper into the dark woods, the sound of her movement was more apparent around her due to the silence of the swaying trees.
The sound of twigs snapping filled her ears, and she kept quiet until the sound was behind her and out of instinct she spun around and fired her gun.
