love is fleeting

Fingers clasped around her amethyst pendant as she stared up at the cafe before looking over her shoulder. She was wearing a black tiny dress, her hair up in a messy ponytail. The only thing that wasn't girly upon the little witch was that she was wearing black converses. She was nervous because this was one of many dates that they had previously had but this one seemed to be more important, she didn't know why. But it was important... at least to her anyway.
But as she stepped into the cafe, she felt an overwhelming emotion of sadness. This was the eve of when her father disappeared. When her sister was brainwashed by a vampire into believing she was safe under his wing. It made the poor girl so enraged and upset that vampires existed. They were against nature and went against life. Not only that, they only took what they wanted. They didn't give anything in return, just damnation of your soul. A deep hatred for the undead corpses that graced the night resonated within the young girl's soul. You would not think a girl as sweet as Alexis could harbor such hate, but after tracking down her father with a tracking spell. She had found out the truth that he truly was dead and that her sister didn't even remember her nor her siblings, meaning the vampire fabricated a lie with her compulsion to thinking they were her family.
Her hand gripped her necklace tighter, causing the lights within the cafe to flicker due to her anger before she closed her eyes and took a deep breath. This was suppose to be a happy night, a good night. She explained the best she could to Noah after she gotten used to being close to him and seeing him often, why she didn't like vampires. Why she wanted their blight to end, though she knew that not all vampires weren't guilty. She knew she would remain to have this hatred for those creatures until the corpse that murdered her father and stole her little sister was dead. Even if she had to do it herself, but until then...she tried to sharpen her abilities and practice the arts before she had to go to work each day. Well after spending time with Noah, which seemed to progress to more frequently.
There was something about the Lycan that was safe to her, he made her feel like nothing could harm her so long as he was with her. That she felt an ease that washed over her hatred like a heatpad to a cool surface. She didn't know how to explain the way she felt for Noah, only that she felt something for him that she had never felt in or for anybody. As she opened her eyes she felt a calmness overwhelm her indicating that he was near and gradually took her seat near the windows. Staring out into the twilight lit sky as she awaited for her... well suppose they were boyfriend and girlfriend now. Even though they both had not really said such things pertaining to that, let alone gaining her first kiss.
The simple thought made the young girl blush slightly, thinking about kissing Noah had occasionaly in and out had been upon the young girl's mind but lately she had many things on her mind. So a sweet distraction such as that was very much needed. Folding her hands upon the table, she stared at her fingers before lightly tapping them on the surface before a waitress came over to her askign if she was ready to order. Politely declining, Alexis stated she was waiting for her date and thought it would be rude to get something before he arrived. With that the waitress assured her that it was alright and told her to let her know when she was ready. Nodding reluctantly, Alexis softly turn her gaze back to the darkening city beyond the window.
